After losing her husband of 71 years, my mother’s dementia became much more pronounced. The assisted living facility where she lived had no memory care and hiring private caregivers quickly became financially unsustainable. After a quick thorough search, we chose Welbrook for my 95-year-old mom. She has been there almost a year and I can honestly say it was the best decision my brother and I could have possibly made on her behalf. Instead of spending all day in her room, she was now spending the day among people, sharing activities, entertainment, and meals, and yes, even making new friends. The whole staff, including the caregivers are humane, patient, loving, and trained in caring for this special vulnerable population.
